The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has shown its first NFT collection. It will be a tribute to both timeless fashions and cutting-edge innovations. As an added bonus, on December 12th, everyone can take part in the launch of the NFT’s special “Lighting the Path of American Fashion” collection.
What’s in the CFDA NFT Collection?
NFT will offer seven unique pieces. All earnings will go to the CFDA Foundation, and the items will symbolise seminal events in fashion history. As of right now, we may expect to see the following designers: These include designs by Coach, Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Vivienne Tam, Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera, and Willy Chavarria.
As such, if you’re like fashion, you should know about this.
Who’s Collabing on the Event?
To mark their 60th year in the fashion industry, the CFDA has collaborated with industry heavyweights to release their limited edition NFT collection. BNV is animating the NFTs with a fashion trading platform that is abundant in gated rewards, and Polygon is on board to assist the event.
The Sandbox will also publish an article at the same time titled “Fashioning the Shades of American Design.” There will be 60 items from CFDA’s 60-year history included in this second collection. Additionally, Darnell-Jamal Lisby, Assistant Curator of Fashion at the Cleveland Museum of Art, is responsible for the collection’s curation.
This is, once more, a pretty big deal.
What’s the Scoop?
This is a safe bet for any fashionista. CFDA’s 60th anniversary marks its entrance into the digital realm, therefore these items truly are historical artefacts.
The seven one-to-one NFTs will be accessible at CFDA.bnv.me from December 12-16. Both the Willy Chavarria and Vivienne Tam NFTs have $10,000 starting bids. The minimum bid for the remaining five NFTs is $25,000. MoonPay is working with CFDA to make the NFT purchases possible.
