TIME’s former president, Keith A. Grossman, has joined financial technology firm MoonPay. After working for TIME for 3.5 years, Grossman made the Twitter announcement that he was leaving to become president of MoonPay’s enterprise division.
What prompted Grossman to leave TIME and join MoonPay?
Moving to MoonPay
Grossman will quit TIME on December 31, 2022, and start working for MoonPay the next year. In addition, his new role will enable him to recruit well-known brands onto Web3 via MoonPay. Grossman told DeCrypt that he would like to collaborate with some of the most well-known firms in the world, like Nike and Universal Pictures.
Keith Grossman brings TIME to Web3
Grossman joined TIME in 2019 after having previously worked as Associate Publisher of WIRED and Global Chief Revenue Officer of Bloomberg. The executive’s interests as a crypto and NFT enthusiast helped the media organisation grow. As Grossman noted in a tweet, “Web3 is too large to ignore, and it provided an evolution from online “rentership” to “ownership.” For this reason, Grossman decided to take action. The media firm made almost $10 million in its first year because to its NFT collection TIMEPieces. He is currently famous for introducing Web3 to TIME Magazine.
