The soft drink manufacturer Pepsi has announced that they will be launching an NFT collection in India.
Pepsi Black Zero Sugar NFT collection
At a press conference on November 17th, PepsiCo revealed that they would be making a special line of Pepsi Black Zero Sugar NFT products for their Indian clientele. In particular, the PepsiCo India Design Team will work with Timea Balo, an illustrator based in the United Kingdom, to develop the line. Polygon blockchain will be used to create the NFTs, which will then be listed on Opensea. In addition, the collection is divided into seven categories, including clothing, dance, the environment, music, society, imagination, and play. Also, there will be three variations on each theme, plus an additional four that are musically inspired.
What’s more, the Pepsi Black collectibles showcase the brand’s values of originality, individuality, and growth. Brand representatives claimed that they created the line especially for today’s youth because they share their values of individuality and the power of modern technology. Pepsi said the campaign was “Centered on the alterations around the classic Pepsi Black “Zero” visual, inspired by the brand’s passion points to portray poignant nuances such as sustainability, rhythm, movement, creativity, art, the evolving world of social media, and gamification.”
#PepsiBlackeffect Challenge
Pepsi will host the #PepsiBlackeffect challenge on the social app Moj, with the winner receiving a Pepsi Black Zero Sugar NFT. Specifically, Indians should look at the world through a Pepsi Black filter lens and talk about who they really are.
